Greetings in the name of Our Lord Jesus Christ!

  In today's Gospel, Jesus hears of the death of John the Baptist and withdraws to a deserted place to grieve. Yet when the crowds follow Him, He does not turn them away. Instead, His heart is moved with compassion, and He heals the sick and cares for their needs. Even in His sorrow, Jesus reveals the boundless love and mercy of God.

  As evening approaches, the disciples see only scarcity: "Five loaves and two fish are all we have here." But Jesus says to them, "Give them some food yourselves." He invites them to trust that what seems small in human eyes can become abundant when placed in God's hands.

  This Gospel challenges us today. We, too, often feel that our time, resources, or abilities are not enough to meet the many needs around us. Yet Jesus asks only that we offer what we have. When our gifts are blessed by Him and shared with love, He multiplies them beyond our expectations.

   The miracle of the loaves also points us to the Holy Eucharist, where Christ continues to feed us with the Bread of Life. Strengthened at His table, we are sent forth to become instruments of His compassion, bringing hope to the lonely, comfort to the suffering, and generosity to those in need.

   May we never be afraid to place our "five loaves and two fish" into the hands of Jesus. He will always provide enough—not only for us but for all who hunger for His love.

   May the Blessed Virgin Mary guide us to trust in God's providence and to serve others with joyful hearts, and may God bless you and your families always.

¡Saludos en el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo!

   En el Evangelio de hoy, Jesús se entera de la muerte de Juan el Bautista y se retira a un lugar apartado para orar y vivir su duelo. Sin embargo, cuando la multitud lo sigue, no los rechaza. Al contrario, su corazón se conmueve de compasión; cura a los enfermos y atiende sus necesidades. Incluso en medio de su dolor, Jesús revela el amor y la misericordia infinitos de Dios.

   Al caer la tarde, los discípulos solo ven escasez: “No tenemos aquí más que cinco panes y dos pescados”. Pero Jesús les dice: "Denles ustedes de comer". Los invita a confiar en que aquello que parece insignificante a los ojos humanos puede volverse abundante cuando se pone en manos de Dios.

   Este Evangelio nos desafía hoy. También nosotros sentimos a menudo que nuestro tiempo, nuestros recursos o nuestras capacidades no bastan para atender las múltiples necesidades que nos rodean. Sin embargo, Jesús solo nos pide que ofrezcamos lo que tenemos. Cuando Él bendice nuestros dones y los compartimos con amor, Él los multiplica más allá de nuestras expectativas.

   El milagro de los panes también nos remite a la Sagrada Eucaristía, donde Cristo sigue alimentándonos con el Pan de Vida. Fortalecidos en su mesa, somos enviados a ser instrumentos de su compasión, llevando esperanza a los solitarios, consuelo a los que sufren y generosidad a los necesitados.

   Que nunca temamos poner nuestros "cinco panes y dos peces" en las manos de Jesús. Él siempre proveerá lo suficiente, no solo para nosotros, sino para todos aquellos que tienen hambre de su amor.

   Que la Santísima Virgen María nos guíe a confiar en la providencia de Dios y a servir a los demás con corazones alegres y que Dios los bendiga a ustedes y a sus familias siempre.      Sinceramente en Cristo,
