CONSTRUCTION FUND UPDATE:


We feel very blessed to share with you that this past weekend, we received a donation of $25,000 for the Construction Fund to cover the costs of the rectory bathroom, the renovation of the parish kitchen, and the Parish Hall and its bathrooms. As of today, we have raised a total of $98,674,23. We thank everyone for your generosity and continued support.


SNOWY WEEKEND COLLECTION RECOVERY FUND UPDATE:

Unfortunately, during the weekend of January 24–25, 2026, due to the snow and ice, we had far fewer Mass participants, which resulted in a collection of $2,477.00 Since we need a weekly collection of $14,000.00 in order to meet our budget, we will be having a Second Collection not for the Building Campaign Fund, but rather for the Snowy Weekend Collection Recovery. Thus far, we have collected $1,390.00 during the January 31st – February 1st weekend, $1,412.00 during the February 14th and 15th weekend, and $5,117.00 on Ash Wednesday, bringing our total to $10,396.00. Thank you for your generosity! 



ACTUALIZACIÓN DEL FONDO DE CONSTRUCCIÓN:

Nos sentimos muy bendecidos al compartir con ustedes que el fin de semana pasado recibimos una donación de $25,000.00 para el Fondo de Construcción, que ayudará a cubrir los costos del baño de la rectoría, la renovación de la cocina parroquial, el Salón Parroquial y sus baños. Hasta la fecha, hemos recaudado un total de $98,674.23. Agradecemos a todos su generosidad y continuo apoyo. 


Lamentablemente, durante el fin de semana del 24 al 25 de enero de 2026, debido a la nieve y el hielo, tuvimos muchos menos participantes en la Misa, lo que resultó en una recaudación de $2,477.00 Dado que necesitamos una recaudación semanal de $14,000.00 para cumplir con nuestro presupuesto, realizaremos una segunda colecta no para el Fondo de la Campaña de Construcción, sino para la Recuperación de la Colecta del Fin de Semana Nevado. Hasta el momento, hemos recaudado $1,390.00 durante el fin de semana del 31 de Enero al 1 de Febrero, $1,412.00 durante el fin de semana del 14 y 15 de febrero, y $5,117.00 el Miércoles de Ceniza, lo que eleva nuestro total a $10,396.00. ¡Gracias por su generosidad! From the Pastor's Heart/DESDE EL CORAZÓN DEL PASTOR

   During this Lenten Season, we strive to find our freedom in Christ, and in order to do so, we have the first part of our Lenten Parish Mission today (Sunday) in English with Unbound: The Heart of the Father Ministries. It primarily focuses on our Need for God’s Forgiveness, God’s Strength and God’s Defense offered to us. It is all centered around Jesus Christ, who is our Lord, God and Savior who shares His Authority with us. His Authority vanquishes Satan’s influence in our lives. In the end, we will have a jubilant experience of our freedom in Christ!

   During this Lenten Season, we are given multiple opportunities to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession), so that we can become holy and more pure.     Why does Jesus offer to us the Sacrament of Reconciliation? Because He wants to forgive us of our sins.     Why do we need to go to Confession? Because the very first gift and mandate that Jesus had given to His Apostles after His resurrection from the dead (according to the Gospel of John) was the Sacrament of Reconciliation. John 20:22-23 clearly defines this teaching:

   "And when he [Jesus] had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, “Receive The Holy Spirit. Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them, and whose sins you retain are retained.”

   How is it a mandate? It was Jesus’ command to the apostles to first hear the sins as confessed by the First Christians who were Catholics, and then give absolution. How could the apostle declare the sin to be absolved without the penitent first confessing his/her sin? In addition, it must be explained that it is Christ who is the essential administrator of every Sacrament. According to this understanding, then, Christ is the One who baptizes; Christ is the One who forgives sins; Christ is the One who consecrates the bread and wine to become the Resurrected Body and Blood of Christ; Christ is the One who confirms the believer in his/her faith; Christ is the One who witnesses and blesses the Couple in their matrimonial love for each other; Christ is the Only High Priest; Christ is the One who anoints with the Oil of the Sick. It is Christ who awaits us; let us RUN to HIM!

   Durante esta Cuaresma, nos esforzamos por encontrar nuestra libertad en Cristo, y para ello, hoy (Domingo) presentamos la primera parte de nuestra Misión Parroquial de Cuaresma en Inglés con Unbound: Ministerios del Corazón del Padre. Se centra principalmente en nuestra necesidad del perdón, la fuerza y la defensa de Dios. Todo se centra en Jesucristo, nuestro Señor, Dios y Salvador, quien comparte su autoridad con nosotros. Su autoridad vence la influencia de Satanás en nuestras vidas. Al final, ¡Experimentaremos con júbilo nuestra libertad en Cristo!

   Durante esta Cuaresma, tenemos múltiples oportunidades para celebrar el Sacramento de la Reconciliación (Confesión), para que podamos ser más santos y puros.

   ¿Por qué nos ofrece Jesús el Sacramento de la Reconciliación? Porque quiere perdonarnos nuestros pecados.

   ¿Por qué necesitamos confesarnos? Porque el primer don y mandato que Jesús dio a sus apóstoles tras su resurrección (según el Evangelio de Juan) fue el Sacramento de la Reconciliación. Juan 20:22-23 define claramente esta enseñanza:

  Después de decir esto, sopló sobre ellos y les dijo: "Reciban el Espíritu Santo. A los que les perdonen los pecados, les quedarán perdonados; y a los que no se los perdonen, les quedarán sin perdonar".

   ¿Cómo es este mandato? Jesús mandó a los apóstoles que primero escucharan los pecados confesados por los primeros Cristianos Católicos y luego dieran la absolución. ¿Cómo podía el apóstol declarar la absolución del pecado sin que el penitente confesara primero su pecado? Además, hay que explicar que Cristo es el administrador esencial de todo Sacramento. Según este entendimiento, entonces, Cristo es quien bautiza; Cristo es quien perdona los pecados; Cristo es quien consagra el pan y el vino para convertirlos en el Cuerpo y la Sangre Resucitados de Cristo; Cristo es quien confirma al creyente en su fe; Cristo es quien da testimonio y bendice a la pareja en su amor matrimonial; Cristo es el único Sumo Sacerdote. Cristo es quien unge con el óleo de los enfermos. Es Cristo quien nos espera; ¡CORRAMOS HACIA ÉL!
